An artist whose first name was Gyōsui designed more than ten woodblock prints of flowers and (or) birds. Regrettably, nothing is known about this artist today, not even his last name. Gyōsui’s realistic depiction of flowers and birds suggests that he worked in the early 1900s when this style of printmaking was most popular.
